This might just be your First Beginner course on Quilance. Incase you are new to this platform, Quilance is an online marketplace for freelancers to showcase their skills and be engaged by business and employers.

The example created align more with a Finance person, however the steps are the same for all other categories.

Your first step is to Register.

To do so, click the Join Us button at the top right corner of the page

You will be presented with a form:

Enter your email address, username and password

On completing this information, you will receive an email requiring you to activate your account.

When you activate, you will be able to proceed to the next step.

There are two more important steps

  1. Update your profile description:
  • Here you simply tell the world in a few words, who you are.
  • Click on My Profile, it’s a dropdown below the Menu link showing your user name at the Top right corner of the page. On Mobile, click the Image Icon[Highlighted]
  • Mobile Link
  • Hover on the Description field, the edit icon should appear.
  • Enter a brief introduction about yourself. See example below


2.  Create a Task:

When you are logged in, the Post a Task link is also displayed at the top corner of the page. On mobile, the display is slightly different – click the icon menu to the left as illustrated earlier.

A Task is the service you intend to offer to prospective employers and business. Its very important you package your write-up properly. Lets answer the different fields.

For this exercise, I will assume I am posting a task to offer Financial Training services to clients. Yours may be Bookkeeping services, Excel Dashboard creation and many more.

Job Name: A summary of what you want to offer eg: I will teach you the rudiments of Accounting and Finance

Price: The minimum you can accept for a particular session or element of work. Its important you keep this as fairly and reasonably low as possible. Also it does not necessarily mean you are charging for the whole job. Maybe just for a single session within the total whole. I will explain more on this later.

Time of Delivery(Day): This is your best delivery time, its best to include a timeline you are definitely sure of delivering.

Category: The category your services falls under. Should incase your desired category is not included in the list, please contact Support.

Description: This is a detailed brief of your service. This section allows you to convince and explain further on what you are offering. You also don’t want it to be too lengthy so as not to the reader. If possible use bullet point where possible. Here is an example:

If you are a small business without an accountant but still want to keep a tidy bookkeeping process, then I am your solution. I am a chartered accountant[ICAN] with 10 years experience in the FMCG sector.

I conduct one-on-one training online for individuals and groups. Here is a list of what you will be learning:

  • Rudiments of Accounting
  • Setting up and managing your cashbook and bank account ledgers
  • Keeping records of your Debtors and creditors, individuals and collectively
  • Maintaining an Asset Register
  • How to reconcile your Bank Accounts
  • Keeping track of expenses
  • Accounting for income
  • Calculating profit
  • And more

Session time is 2 hours and training is in batch. For individual/special session, please select an option below.

Extra Services: This are additional perks in addition to the main service you are offering for which client will need to pay more. Remember our pricing, we kept it minimum for the base task, now when client want more, they can pay for that. For my example I added there more extra services below:

  • Special Session – 4 hours – Nxxx

Opening Message: The Opening Message is what your prospective client will read should they decide to contact you. Here you can include specific information you need from the client when they are contacting you or placing the order. Its also important in the sense that it can help fast-track the transaction process more especially your task involves you getting prior information fro the client before you can accept the order.

E.g Please state your available timing to enable me advise on what slots is possible.
